Тимур Мустакимов стал известен как победитель множества международных конкурсов: лауреат конкурса “E-Competition” США, 2018), лауреат конкурса им. Скрябина (Италия, 2017), золотая медаль и приз зрительских симпатий конкурса “2016 Midwest International Piano Competition” (США, 2016), золотая медаль конкурса “2015 NTD International Piano Competition” (финал конкурса был проведён в Карнеги Холле с прямой трансляцией телеканалом NTD), золотая медаль конкурса “Heida Hermanns International Competition (США, 2013). После победы последнего, Тимур был приглашён в члены жюри «Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition” в 2019.

С 2019 года Тимур представлен менеджментом “Wu Promotion” на территории Китая. Его первый тур включил множество городов, включая такие как Пекин, Шанхай, Чонгшинг, Лиужоу.

После победы на конкурсе «NTD International Piano Competition, канал “New Tang Dynasty” снял документальный фильм о Тимуре, который был транслирован в 2016 году, охватывая аудиторию в 100 миллионов по всему миру.

Timur Mustakimov has been described by the Russian press as “a pianist with his own style, recognizable and at the same time spontaneous.”

Timur Mustakimov has been recognized as the winner of numerous international piano competitions. Most recently, he was the silver medalist of the 2018 Alaska International E-Competition, where he additionally earned the prize for “Best Schubert Sonata.” He was also a laureate and the winner of the audience choice recipient award at the 2017 Premio Internazionale Pianistico A. Scriabin held in Grosseto, Italy; the Gold Prize winner and audience prize recipient at the 2016 Midwest International Piano Competition; the Gold Prize winner at the 2015 NTD International Piano Competition, where his performance from Carnegie Hall was broadcast globally by NTD Television; and the Gold Prize winner of The 2013 Heida Hermanns International Competition (Westport, CT). Consequently, Timur was invited to judge “Heida Hermanns International Competition in 2019.

From 2019, Timur Mustakimov is represented by “Wu Promotion” management in China. First tour included concerts in the cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Chogqing, Liuzhou to name a few.

Since the winning of the 2015 NTD International Piano Competition, “New Tang Dynasty” Television has filmed and produced a documentary about him, which aired in 2016, reaching more than 100 million viewers worldwide. This year, his CD of solo works by Scriabin and Myaskovsky, titled Russian Sonatas, has been released on the Blue Griffin label.

As a soloist, he has performed Beethoven's “Emperor Concerto” at Alice Tully Hall in 2013 as the winner of the Concerto Competition at Mannes College; Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic under the baton of Vladimir Feltsman having won 1st prize in the 2008 Jacob Flier competition at the PianoSummer Festival in New Paltz (USA); Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan. Subsequently, Timur has performed with Grosseto Symphony Orchestra (Italy) and the Waterloo Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra (USA) to name a few.

Notable solo and chamber performances include recitals in the piano series in April 2017 at the Naples Botanical Garden in Florida, featuring previous first prize winners of the Heida Hermanns International Competition, performances with the Jupiter Chamber Players in NYC in the 2016-2019 seasons as part of their artists’ roster, and his debut recital in America, opening the PianoSummer Festival in 2009. In spring 2015, Mr. Mustakimov became the youngest nominated member of The Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia, the oldest continuing musical organization in the United States, and in 2016 he was selected as one of eight pianists to participate in the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara.

Timur Mustakimov began studying piano at the age of eight with Tatyana Kiseleva in his hometown of Nizhnekamsk. At the age of twelve he won the regional piano competition, which served as a strong impulse for him to be later enrolled at the Music School for Gifted Children in Kazan, where he studied with Professor Alfiya Burnasheva. He won the Bach Competition, a prizewinner at the Russian Piano Competition (Ufa, Russia) and the International Piano Competition (Kiev, Ukraine). In 2006, he entered the Kazan State Conservatory, and during his first year he represented the conservatory at the International Conservatory Week Festival in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He earned his Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes School of Music (The New School) under the tutelage of Vladimir Feltsman. He graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma program at Kazan Conservatory in Piano Performance in 2015, and expects to receive his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from Temple University in the fall of 2020.
